VETERAN'S MEMORIAL
American Legion Post 20 and its members are supporters of the BLAND
COUNTY VETERAN'S MEMORIAL.
The memorial organization is hosting a fund raising golf tournamnet on
June 23, 2012 at Wolfe Creek Golf Course. Each entry includes 18 holes
of golf, golf cart, a catered lunch, goodie bag, and a chance at prizes. There are prizes up to and
including a car!
Businesses or individuals who wish to help support this fund raiser can
purchase Hole Sponsorships or Veteran's Name Sponsorships. Signs
recognizing these sponsors will be prominently displayed during the
tournament.

Presently, there is nothing in Bland County that honors all our
Veterans. The mission of the BLAND COUNTY VETERAN'S MEMORIAL
organization is to build a permanent memorial, not only to honor those
who have served our great country, but also to honor those who are
presently serving in our military.
The Bland County Veterans Memorial Committee is selling bricks to be placed at the memorial that will honor those serving or who have served. See Brick Pavers. A brick paver honoring someone (living or dead) is a lasting and special tribute to their service.
